The April 26, 2023 deadline for SIM Card Registration is fast approaching.

The SIM Registration Law or Republic Act 11934 mandates all customers of SIM-based services, both new and existing, to register their SIM cards with their current telco provider.

BillEase is one with the National Telecommunications Commission and the Philippine government’s efforts to strengthen protection against the growing spam and scam messages.

To avoid the rush of last-minute registrants and continue accessing your BillEase-linked SIM card, register your SIM today.

Here are the steps to follow:

STEP 1

Access the SIM registration website of your telco

Using a cell phone or computer, go to SIM registration website of your current telco provider.

STEP 2

Enter your 10-digit mobile number

Input your 10-digit mobile number (example 9181234567) and click “Register” or “Send OTP.”

For SMART users, make sure to click “I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions.”

STEP 3

Wait for an OTP

If your SIM is eligible, you will receive a One Time Password or OTP on your mobile phone. Do not share this to anyone else and note that it expires is 5 minutes.

STEP 4

Enter the OTP

Input the 6-digit OTP on the SIM registration website of your telco. Once your OTP is validated, you may proceed with the registration.

STEP 5

Input your personal details

Complete all required fields including your name, birthday, gender, address & nationality.

STEP 6

Take a selfie

Take a picture of yourself and your government ID.

STEP 7

Upload a photo of your government ID

From the list, select the type of the government identification card (ID) to be uploaded and click the “Upload” button.

STEP 8

Agree to Privacy Policy

Double-check the correctness of information. Once done, tick the box that says “I agree with Privacy Policy.”

Note that you only need to check the required boxes. It’s up to you whether you want to select the remaining boxes for Marketing and Promotional permissions.

STEP 9

Click Submit

Hit the “Submit” or “Next” button to finish the registration process.

STEP 10

Keep the reference number

Once submitted, a reference number will appear on your screen. You will also receive a confirmation text from your telco. Keep the reference number as proof of your registration.
